Southern Forest World is a self-guided museum dedicated to educating the public about the importance of the Forest Industry in the South. Indoor exhibits include a "Talking" Tree, a replica of a Loblolly Pine you can climb in, and a mummified dog in a tree. Outdoor exhibits consist of a Fire Tower, a steam-operated logging engine, and Wagon Wheels from logging carts once pulled by mules. There is also a clean, quiet picnic area on the premises.
